Pumpkin Pie Bars

Crunchy oat-nut crust, cream cheese in the filling and sweet crumbs combine to take pumpkin pie to a new and even more delicious level.

What You Need

1-1/3

cups flour

3/4

cup granulated sugar, divided

1/2

cup packed brown sugar

3/4

cup cold butter or margarine, cut up

cup old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats, uncooked

1/2

cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

eggs

can (15 oz.) pumpkin

Tbsp. pumpkin pie spice

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

LINE 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray. Mix flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar in medium bowl until blended; cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats and nuts.

RESERVE 1 cup oat mixture; press remaining onto bottom of prepared pan. Bake 15 min. Beat cream cheese, remaining sugar, eggs, pumpkin and spice with mixer until blended; pour over crust. Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture.

BAKE 25 min.; cool 10 min. Use foil to transfer dessert from pan to wire rack; cool completely.

Prepare using PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese.

Can't find pumpkin pie spice? Simply mix 1 tsp. each ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg and allspice, then use as directed.

Very easy to prepare. Cooked slightly longer, did not seem to be done at specified time. Different take on pumpkin recipe, something different for the Thanksgiving thru Christmas time of year. Thanks!

My husband is not a huge pumpkin pie fan, but he loved these. He really liked the flavor that the pecans added. I will be making these again!

Tastes exactly like pumpkin pie. I omitted the nuts and it is great. Easy dessert for a potluck.

I made this a few weeks before Thanksgiving and served it as a dessert with fresh whipped cream. My entire family loved it and asked that it replace the traditional pumpkin pie. The crust is a little fussy to prepare but well worth the effort of getting out and cleaning the pastry blender. Try it you will love it!

I made this the other night and was not sure how it would turn out. The hardest part was the crust. I let it cool overnight & then cut it up & put it in the fridge. My boyfriend love's it & the only way he will eat it is with cool whip & that makes it ever better.

My family really liked these bars and they were easy to make. One thing was, I thought they were a tad bit bland. I think next time I will add more pie spice or maybe some cinnamon. Other than that, they were very delicious. I will make again.
