I made both versions - the chive for a ladies church supper and the strawberry for my sunday shool class breakfast - and they preferred the chive style.

I used this at a get together for a girlfriends birthday party . It was a big hit with everyone, and so easy to make.

Instead of doing individual crescents, I left the whole package of dough as 1 big sheet, spread the filling on it and then folded it in half, pinched the edges and brushed it with egg/milk. After cooking it, I just cut it into triangles. Very quick and easy. I also have added crumbled blue cheese to this recipe.

I hate to cook but I needed an easy recipe for an appetizer. Everyone at the party loved it and were impressed with my culinary talents. I'll definitely make this recipe again.

In our little community store we did not have the chive cream cheese spread available. I used the regular cream cheese but increased the strips of bacon to six. i served it early in the day at our office party before we headed out on our routes. everyone liked them warm and later ate them cold. what I enjoyed the most was the delicious aroma and also the size of the crescent rolls made them prettier in the basket when served. thanks,v1231
