We used onion and chive cream cheese with fresh minced jalapenos, onions, bacon, and fresh chopped cilantro in our recipe and it was excellent. I am trying to decide, though, why we cut them up into smaller portions because that just makes you eat that many more smaller ones...

I had the whipped cream cheese with ranch flavoring on hand so I used that in place of the chive flavor. The ranch & bacon combo was wonderful!

This recipe was great! My family loved it. I had plain whipped cream cheese on hand, so I used it along with 1 tsp of onion powder and 1/2 tsp garlic salt, in place of the onion and chive cream cheese and it worked out great. I am anxious to try the sweet version too. Maybe try some different flavor combination too. Be adventurous! :-)

I added sesame seeds to the top before baking. It added a nice finished touch. I also cut them into 3's and serve them for appetizers at a cocktail party.

Years ago, I started making this recipe for parties, using plain cream cheese, spreading the crescent squares with cream cheese, a little onion powder and the crumbled bacon. Roll up the squares like a tube and slice. Everyone loves them and they are very easy to make.

I make a simillar recipe using shredded chicken instead of the bacon and have chicken gravy to pour over it. This is a wonderful and tasty alternative and my family loves it.
