Crab Cakes

Crab Cakes recipe

All great cooks have a secret or two. Like using Ritz Crackers to add a buttery flavor to crab cakes—and a touch of cayenne to give them just the right amount of zing.

I had never made or eaten crabcakes, but my fiance is a big fan of them. So, I tried this recipe - so easy, great results. He said they were better than his mother's. That's what I like to hear. :)

I also used imitation crab, my kids LOVED it!! They did say they wanted more seafood flavor, so tonight I'm trying it with shrimp and canned crab for a party appetizer.

Great for party recipe. Everyone loved them. I used an Italitan blend cheese and it worked fine. I will definitely make this one again!

I ate one after baking them to see how they were. It was so good that a had a few more. I had to stop myself so there would be plenty for the guests! I made these ahead of time for a holiday open house. They reheat very nicely. Good flavor, easy to make.

I used imatation crab meat, I think next time I'll use the real thing. They were very good, I think they'ed be even better with the real crab meat. There is only two of use so I frozen the left overs and took them to a dinner party where I had to bring something to snack on before dinner. They went over great.

Made this 4 times and it's always a big hit. Keep an extra batch in the freezer for 'emergencies'. I bake mine, freeze, and reheat when needed. Print several copies of this recipe because everyone will want a copy.
