I think this would be more flavorful if you made the rice with beef broth instead of plain water.

It was too dry and not much taste

I tried a healthier version with ground chicken and brown rice and it was very good!

Yes it was easy to make but very bland and tasteless. No one liked it and I would not make it again. Even inexperienced cooks should look elsewhere. Don't be fooled by the ease of the recipe.

We loved it. Very easy to make and it was delicious. The next time, we will try it with the whole can of soup... We substituted Block cheese for the Monterery Jack.

I used deer meat with this recipe; that is probably why it was dry. Other than that it was good. I would use a little less rice though. Also I used oregano since I did not have any thyme--not recommended, too strong.

Thank you for your ideas. I had ground beef and need something new. I went on line and found this recipe. My two-year-old triplets are not big fans of rice so I used Idaho Southwest style mashed potatoes instead. I also used cream of mushroom with roasted garlic, and corn. I also was out of milk so I used sour cream like someone else had suggested. I impressed my husband and myself; the kids ate it up too. I'm usually not one for making things up as I go, but tonight was definitely an exception. Thank you all for your comments to read and the basic recipe that I tweaked. Michelle
