This is a delicious recipe, with a few moderations. I leave out the carrots first of all... do not like them at all in this recipe. Also, I crumble up the beef mixture sometimes and fry that like you would regular ground beef except stirring it a little more because it has the cheese and other shakenbake. I also sometimes use bbq sauce instead of catalina. YUM! Thats my family's favorite. I have made this recipe probably about 20 times now and will continue to do so!

This was very tasty but also extremely hard on the stomach. Definatly serve with something that's really good for you.

I did not care for this a all, the flavor was just blah, it needed something, but I don't know what. My son enjoyed the meatball part of it, but said the rice tasted vinegary, but that could be the dressing.

Very good flavor and so easy to make. We'll definitely make it again. My husband and I both liked it.

I was disappointed with this one. My meatballs fell apart when the other ingerdients wre added. I should have just browned the beef, carrots, and cheese, then roceeded as directed.

Fantastic! Loads of flavor. Next time, I will use less carrots though (maybe 1/2 cup) and I'm going to try using ground turkey. I bought matchstick carrots from the store and I ran my knife through them to mince (was easier than shredding whole carrots). Only downside-I had to cook it for a few more mins than suggested for the rice to be tender.

Love this recipe! I make it with ground turkey instead of ground beef and it comes out just as good!!
