Chicken breasts get their Greek on with cucumbers, sour cream and fresh dill in these creamy, crunchy gyros.

What You Need

3/4

cup chopped seeded peeled cucumbers

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

Tbsp. chopped fresh dill

Tbsp. lemon juice

clove garlic, minced

lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips

1/4

cup KRAFT Greek Vinaigrette Dressing, divided

onion, chopped

pita breads, cut in half

Make It

COMBINE first 5 ingredients. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

COOK and stir chicken in 2 Tbsp. dressing in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat 6 to 8 min. or until chicken is done. Remove from skillet; set aside. Add onions and remaining dressing to skillet; cook 5 min. or until onions are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally. Return chicken to skillet; cook 2 to 3 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.

SPOON chicken mixture into pita bread halves. Serve topped with cucumber mixture.

Special Extra

Serve gyros topped with chopped tomatoes and ATHENOS Traditional Crumbled Feta Cheese in addition to the cucumber mixture.

Variation

Substitute 4 pocketless pita breads or flat breads for the regular pita breads. Spoon chicken mixture onto bread; top with cucumber mixture. Fold in half to serve.

We liked this recipe, and it definitely has potential. My husband loved the chicken! The pitas we had were dry, so I think a soft flatbread would be magnificent with this. Also, I could have done without the cucumbers in the sauce. Generally I like cucumbers, but their cold, juicy contrast did not mix well with the bread. I'll make some changes next time, and can see myself enjoying them more.

This recipe was great. Couldn't find a good pita bread so we just used tortillas. I would use about half the dill next time but the kids ate it all!

The ingredients were not to easy to find to make this and the taste in general was not vey good . Will not be making this again .

This was so delicious and easy to make! I didn't have any pita bread, so we used small tortillas. I served it with chopped tomatoes, shredded cabbage and crumbled feta cheese, and let everyone build their own sandwich. Some yellow rice on the side made it feel just like dinner at a Greek restaurant.

We all enjoyed this hearty dinner 'sandwich'. It was easy and delicious! I added sliced tomatoes and made extra sauce for dipping fresh vegetables in later.

Iw was very good and easy to make. I used wheat pita bread and it tied the entire meal together. Will make again.
