I have made this several times and it never comes out looking like it should. I used the recipe but instead of inverting the cakes, I made them the correct/normal way (round side up) and I spread the "creme-filling" all over to use it as a frosting. That was a hit!!!

Made this for Valentine's Day for my husband. Big hit! I made two cakes from this recipe since it's just the two of us and gave the other to my co-workers. Use 8" pans, cut cakes in 1/2, use low fat cream cheese and low fat whip topping for filling & divided it for the cakes. I made genache for the icing. Will definately make again. Everyone both loved it!!!

When I made this cake it went over so well. It was fantastic. Different from your usual cakes. Of course I would make it again the family loved it.

I think this was good. I subbed a few things for a friend, but next time I make it, I'll do as directed. It was a hit though. And recipes had to be sent out.

This cake is THE BOMB!!! It is very easy to make, and it tastes better than a store bought/bakery cake. I first made this cake for Thanksgiving. My family and I really loved it. Then I made it again for Christmas. And again for New Years, and again for our annual family fish fry. I will be making this cake tomorrow for Super Bowl. My family, friends, and relatives expect to have this cake at every event that we have. I always decorate the top of the cake by placing an Oreo in the middle of the cake.

This cake is DEE-Lish! I made this for my daughter's birthday in December before Christmas! Only I made the cake part homemade instead of the box mix--used "candy cane" flavored oreos in the filling and added colorful sprinkles on top of the chocolate MMM MMM ! It also freezes very well. WE could not eat it all so I froze individual slices and still have two left! After being frozen almost 2 months, it still tastes like it was just made once thawed! Thanks for the excellent recipe!

Loved this cake! Made it for a family party and everyone kept saying how awesome it was. My only problem is that the chocolate glaze came out really runny...still tasted great just didn't look as pretty. I'll add some powdered sugar next time; hopefully that will help.
