What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) devil's food cake mix

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

1/4

cup butter

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/2

cup sugar

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

OREO Cookies, coarsely crushed

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

PREPARE cake batter and bake in 2 (9-inch) round pans as directed on package. Cool cakes in pans 10 min. Invert onto wire racks; gently remove pans. Cool cakes completely.

MICROWAVE chocolate and butter in small microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Cool 5 min. Meanwhile, beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Gently stir in COOL WHIP and crushed cookies.

PLACE 1 cake layer on plate, spread with cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining cake layer. Spread top with chocolate glaze; let stand 10 min. or until firm. Keep refrigerated.

This cake is cute. My husband calls it "the gigantic oreo." I made this cake for a friend and she said that her son and daughter ate most of the cake. I will make this again.

I really think this is the best cake I've ever had. It was so moist and there was plenty of the oreo filling. Really, really delicious. Im always looking for excuses to make this again.

Okay, I'd first like to say this is the cutest cake I've ever seen. I never would've thought to make an oreo cake that looked like...well, an oreo! Go figure. Anywho, while we all really liked this cake I didn't give it five stars because, well...I'm not too loose with them. And this cake for me while very good, didn't make my favorites list. The only "complaint" I have about this cake is that the semi-sweet chocolate topping on top was a little too much for me. It's a pretty sweet cake to begin with. But who knows...maybe I'll get creative and try something different with the top next time.

Everyone I have ever made this for says it is the best cake in teh world and they think I spent forever making it but using a cake mix makes it so easy!!!

This is one cake that everyone loves. I have altered it a little..I love the glaze so I acutally put it in between the layers. I also put more filling on top. I may not look like an oreo cookie but it tasts GREAT!. It is the most requested cake that I make.

I have also just made the filling and used it as a cheesecake. I have lots of friends who now request "Oreo Cheesecake" every time they come over! It is WONDERFUL!!
