What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) devil's food cake mix

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

1/4

cup butter

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/2

cup sugar

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

OREO Cookies, coarsely crushed

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

PREPARE cake batter and bake in 2 (9-inch) round pans as directed on package. Cool cakes in pans 10 min. Invert onto wire racks; gently remove pans. Cool cakes completely.

MICROWAVE chocolate and butter in small microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Cool 5 min. Meanwhile, beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Gently stir in COOL WHIP and crushed cookies.

PLACE 1 cake layer on plate, spread with cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining cake layer. Spread top with chocolate glaze; let stand 10 min. or until firm. Keep refrigerated.

I made this cake twice in one week. The first for a Birthday & the second for special guests. The cakes were such a hit that even the guys made sure I sent the recipe to their wives. Later after dinner with our special guests they ask for another small piece to have with a bottle of Port Wine that they had been saving for a very special occasion, it was magnificient. Delicious!

I made this recipe as is except I added a few more oreo cookies to recipe. It was yummy. All my friends loved it and wanted me to make it for all of their birthdays.

I made this twice and it was a huge success both times. I did put crushed oreos around the middle and on top to dress it up more and I did use chocolate chips & butter for the top. Easy & worth it.

Yum! Yum! Yum! I made this and brought it to a gathering at a friend's house and I had sooo many raves about it. Everyone loved it. I could just make the filling by itself and eat it. I was requested to make it again for a baby shower. Yum! Yum!

This was pretty good and easier to make than I thought. I don't love devil's food cake but others seemed to really enjoy it. No issues at all with the chocolate glaze.
