What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) devil's food cake mix

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

1/4

cup butter

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/2

cup sugar

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

OREO Cookies, coarsely crushed

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

PREPARE cake batter and bake in 2 (9-inch) round pans as directed on package. Cool cakes in pans 10 min. Invert onto wire racks; gently remove pans. Cool cakes completely.

MICROWAVE chocolate and butter in small microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Cool 5 min. Meanwhile, beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Gently stir in COOL WHIP and crushed cookies.

PLACE 1 cake layer on plate, spread with cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining cake layer. Spread top with chocolate glaze; let stand 10 min. or until firm. Keep refrigerated.

I made this for my nephew's birthday and all the kids loved it! I modified it by attaching Oreos all the way around the bottom which made it easy to cut all the pieces the same size. Just be forewarned that the glaze becomes very hard and can be difficult to cut through.

This turned out to be a great dessert, everyone really liked it. It was easy to make and it did not last long.

I made this cake for our bible study group and it was a big hit! I thought that it was really easy to put together. I served it right out of the refrigerator and the chocolate on top had hardened and tasted great.

Made this cake for my daughter's birthday. Everyone loved it! I also made a variation. I used white cake mix, chocolate Cool-Whip and garnished with Uh-Oh Oreo's. That one went just as fast!

Great recipe. My family wanted me cool whip and a little less cream cheese so next time I will add more cool whip. I also used reduced fat cool whip and cream cheese. It was great!

Delightful! Next time though, I will make extra chocolate topping to coat the bottom layer before the cream cheese and cool whip go on. This cake is SO good!!
