What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) devil's food cake mix

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

1/4

cup butter

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/2

cup sugar

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

OREO Cookies, coarsely crushed

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

PREPARE cake batter and bake in 2 (9-inch) round pans as directed on package. Cool cakes in pans 10 min. Invert onto wire racks; gently remove pans. Cool cakes completely.

MICROWAVE chocolate and butter in small microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Cool 5 min. Meanwhile, beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Gently stir in COOL WHIP and crushed cookies.

PLACE 1 cake layer on plate, spread with cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining cake layer. Spread top with chocolate glaze; let stand 10 min. or until firm. Keep refrigerated.

I've made this several different ways. I've used mint cookies (20) instead of the Oreos, and added a couple drops of green food coloring for St. Patricks day. I made it at Christmas, using a white cake mix, and crushed up candy canes for the center, with Cool Whip and crudhed candy canes for the topping. All were great.

I made this recipe in cupcake form. Baked the devil's food cupcakes, then used the cookie cream cheese mixture as icing on top. Tasted amazing, everyone loved it. Now I'm making the actual cake version for a birthday boy who LOVES anything Oreo. Can't wait to see the look on his face!

Made this recipe once for company. My husband loved it so much I've made it two more times for other get togethers!! It looks super rich but surpisingly it wasn't!

Everyone loved this cake...I wasnt so impressed with the chocolate on top. It was a little too much for me. Very good and moist.

I made it for a 13 year old boys birthday party and they all had seconds!! And my fiance gave it a 10! I would definitly make this again.
