What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) devil's food cake mix

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

1/4

cup butter

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/2

cup sugar

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

OREO Cookies, coarsely crushed

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

PREPARE cake batter and bake in 2 (9-inch) round pans as directed on package. Cool cakes in pans 10 min. Invert onto wire racks; gently remove pans. Cool cakes completely.

MICROWAVE chocolate and butter in small microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Cool 5 min. Meanwhile, beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Gently stir in COOL WHIP and crushed cookies.

PLACE 1 cake layer on plate, spread with cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining cake layer. Spread top with chocolate glaze; let stand 10 min. or until firm. Keep refrigerated.

Very Yummy! Moist. Everyone at work loved. Next time I will use Milk chocolate instead of semi sweet for icing.

This tastes LIGHT, which is surprising - but not disappointing. It all comes together easily. The oreo filling is not as sweet or rich as you might think, and the chocolate topping is just nice, not heavy at all. Plus it looks delicious. Serve chilled.

I made this today for my boyfriend it was his birthday. This cake was super easy to make, and for the filling I just threw it all in the food processor. The middle of my cake looked a little more brown, but was super yummy! I also used melted chocolate chips in place of the bakers chocolate with good results! I am already thinking up other variations of this cake!

This was one of the easiest cakes that I have ever made. The only thing that I will change the next time is that I will use confectionary sugar. I used more oreos than the recipe called for - I used 20 oreos. My children loved it! The cake was pretty to look at, easy at make , and tasted great! For a pretty accent - top the cake with a couple whole oreos in the center of the cake or sprinkle some oreo crumbs on top. Enjoy!

Everything about this cake was a hit. It was very easy to make, looked beautiful when it was done and lasted less than 15 minutes at an office luncheon. Everyone enjoyed this cake so much that they begged for more. I will without a second thought make this recipe again and again.

My husband loved this cake! It makes a beautiful presentation and would be wonderful as a special occassion cake...looks like you spent hours making it and it is so simple.
