Warm Winter Lemon Cake

Warm Winter Lemon Cake recipe
Gently falling snow, good. Unrelenting icy rain, not so much. Tame winter with a forkful of lemony sunshine in a warm, moist pudding cake with a citrus tang.

love this cake! i am not a 'frosting' fan, and with a spoonful of cool whip, this is a warm and creamy treat without the heaviness of a frosting.

I love warm lemon deserts and I hated this. The texture was gross and the flavor was bad. Threw the whole cake in the garbage.

This was easy to make, and tasted great, but I think I may try it with lemon cake mix (next time) instead of just yellow cake mix.

Bland lemon cake. I even added lemon zest and juice. Just not very lemony.

Was definitely disappointed. Was hoping for something with a little more flavor and better texture. Maybe if I used a lemon cake mix the flavor would be better, but the cake seemed overlooked and the pudding was in puddles on the top. I would've been better off making the cake separate and pouring warmed lemon pudding over a slice. Presentation I'm sure would be better. I wouldn't make this again.

Definitely not my fav. I was looking for a stronger lemon flavor. The texture was a little odd as well. Maybe as a different flavor.

I love this recipe! I have the perfect pan for it so it does not make a mess..the pan is hi shorter than 9x13. But it is taller...it comes out perfect every time! If you can't find a time of pan then spilt it up, using 9x13 and a 8x8. I sometimes can't wait till it cools its soooo yummy..

In answer to the question of boiling over I used a aluminum foil lasagna pan. You can always add more lemon if you don't think it has enough flavor but this is a quick easy dessert.
