Warm Winter Lemon Cake

Warm Winter Lemon Cake recipe

Gently falling snow, good. Unrelenting icy rain, not so much. Tame winter with a forkful of lemony sunshine in a warm, moist pudding cake with a citrus tang.

Great recipe, very moist cake, my family loves it. I made this cake for my father because he loves lemon. He only got 2 pieces so I baked another one for him to take home.

I made the cake and the pudding remained on top, unlike the picture where it is on the bottom. Did I do something wrong? I also had to cook it longer than it said. Not very attractive, like the picture.

I made this cake over the week-end. My daughter (who also gets the Kraft magazine) told me about it. She really enjoys the magazine. The c ake was a big hit and I can't wait to make it for company. It is that type of dessert that you just keep munching and munching. Very good.It is wonderful heated in microwave for a few seconds. Thanks ..

It was an easy recipe. I substituted sugar-free pudding & Splenda and it turned out great. My kids loved it. I prefer it cold to give it more flavor. I want to try it with Chocolate pudding and Devils Food cake.

I was somewhat disappointed with this recipe. More pudding ran out of the pan than stayed in. The lemon flavor was not lemoney enough. Might have been better to bake the cake without placing the pudding on top, and perhaps put the pudding on after the cake is done. Indeed, there would be a great deal less mess..

What a wonderful cake this is. It's perfect for a January evening for family or friends. My husband picked this recipe for me to try and boy was he right!! Helpful hint: Don't try to overbake.....the cake is supposed to a little gooey!!
