Perfect Winter Beef Stew

Perfect Winter Beef Stew recipe

We loved it. It was very good. I gave it 4 stars instead of five bc I did add steak sauce, garlic powder & salt. This was my second time making it and will make it many more times to come!

YUM! I skipped the tomatoes, not a fan, used red potatoes, added 2 beef bouillon cubes, and 32 oz. of beef broth. Will definitely make this again!

Not a beef stew fan, but this one is wonderful. I think the bacon is what makes it.

This is a great way to just get rid of vegetables and things in the pantry. I don't add bacon or mushrooms. I add celery though. I also add salt and pepper with some Italian seasoning to taste. I make this in the crock pot every time.If you prefer something a little thicker, add two tablespoons of flour during the last hour of cooking.

We have made this several times and really enjoy it. Ours ended up more like soup rather than stew but we prefer that. The bacon makes it unique and tasty.

My family and I did not like this recipe at all. I did not put mushrooms in it, but added the thyme that was suggested, as well as two bay leaves. It was really tangy - and not in a good way. I've already tossed the recipe.

Too much job and too long cooking for a just ok beef stew. You don't taste the bacon neither the mushrooms. If I make it again, I will add more taste; salt? pepper?.

Good not great. Lacked a little in flavor. Sauce didn't thicken up like I expected.
