Perfect Winter Beef Stew

Perfect Winter Beef Stew recipe

"Tasty" barely begins to describe this stew. With savory beef, rich bacon, veggies and hearty potatoes, "perfect" is a much closer word.

This is an easy recipe for a first time stew maker. Was a hit with the family.

I used zesty Italian dressing instead of italian and it was very good. In the future I would use the plain Italian.

Loved the flavor of this stew. Wondered if after putting ingredients together this could finish cooking in a Slow Cooker?

this was great . I think the prep time was off. When you have to peel potatoes, clean and slice carrots and cut beef, cut mushrooms, cut onions it takes more than 15 minutes unless you use frozen veg. or are a chef. I also made bread for the first time

I added Curry Spice with broth. It was the Best Curry dish. You can also use Ground Beef or Boneless Chicken Breast. Also try with Pumpkin, cover and simmer for 40 Minutes.

I've been looking for the perfect beef stew recipe for a while now. This is it! It takes time to cut up the veggies, but it was well worth it. I cooked the stew for about 2 hours on low simmer to make sure the veggies and beef were fully cooked. I also bought already cut up boneless beef stew meat so it was less hassle to cut up the meat. I marinated the meat for about 2 hours for it to soak up the marinade. It turned out a PERECT 10!!!!!

Delicious! I actually added some garlic pepper while it cooked! and I let it cook on simmer for about 5-6 hours! Very tasty--my family loved it! Definitely a tasty winter dinner!
