I was pressed for time, so I omitted the bacon. My very picky husband and even pickier 16 yr. old son really liked it! I'll definitely be making it again.

This was easy to make, vegetables are very flavorable in this recipe, but the beef was kind of bland. I think I would put this stew over rice the next time.

Excellent & easy. The flavor was fantastic. Serve with a bread of some kind to "sop" up the juices!

I decided to make this in a slow cooker substituting venison for the beef. It was the most wonderful stew I've had in a long time. The mushrooms and bacon really added a new twist for me.

This recipe was simple and amazing!! I prepared everything and let it simmer in my crock pot the beef was really "cut it with a fork" tender and the family loved it. Even the "non vegetable" eaters!!

Excellent flavor. I cheated and used a large bag of frozen stew vegies and threw some dumplings on the top the last 20 mins. Great "one pot meal".
