Perfect Winter Beef Stew

Perfect Winter Beef Stew recipe
"Tasty" barely begins to describe this stew. With savory beef, rich bacon, veggies and hearty potatoes, "perfect" is a much closer word.

just finished making this--name is misleading, it is SOUP unless you add a thickener. i used 8 slices of bacon, 1lb mushrooms, a can of ro-tel tomatoes drained along with stewed tomatoes undrained, 2 tsp. italian seasoning, and 2 tsp. beef bouillion granules. marinated beef 1 hr and simmered just under 2 hrs. exceptionally good--i will add this to my favorites. needs no additional salt!!

This stew was bursting with flavor and very quick to make. I had to use the Italian Caesar Free dressing and it was great. I am planning to make it again soon and add the mushrooms this time. A friend at work just asked me not long ago how to make stew and I now I have the perfect recipe for her!

Easy to make. I thought there could have been more liquid. The meat could have marinated longer, it wasn't that tender. Needs a little salt and pepper. We served it over egg noodles. The kids and husband liked it!

This was very good. I thought it was a little juicy for me so after it was done I added a mixture of water and corn starch to thicken it up a bit and turned out purfect. I make it for everyong now.

Easy to throw together. We liked it. I will probably leave the mushrooms out next time I make it, as my hubby and girls are not fans of mushrooms. We have a small family, so I cut most of the recipe in half (I used the whole can of tomatoes because I love tomatoes) and it turned out fine. I also used the zesty italian dressing to marinate the meat in, the flavor came through in the stew.

I used a balsamic vinagrette because that's what I had. It came out wonderful! My husband had seconds!

I didn't use mushrooms as they aren't a family favorite, and I did add one extra can of beef broth. It was excellent!

This was so easy, and so delicious! I used zesty italian dressing because it was what I had on hand. I used one more pound of meat than Tracy did and one more can of stewed tomatoes. I made this 4 hours before my family was to come home to eat, so I let it simmer in the crockpot on low until they came home. All they had to do was pop some rolls in the oven, and dinner was on! It was great, I'd make it again !
