Perfect Winter Beef Stew

Perfect Winter Beef Stew recipe
"Tasty" barely begins to describe this stew. With savory beef, rich bacon, veggies and hearty potatoes, "perfect" is a much closer word.

My family ate this up! It was a great meal and very simple to make! It has a wonderful taste and is perfect served with crusty bread! Yum!
This is delicious and fairly easy to make. My family loved it!
Awesome! I have made this recipe for my family and also for church gatherings and it always gets rave reviews. It's one of my absolute favorites to make...simple ingredients, not time consuming, feeds a hungry crowd and is absolutely delicious! People are amazed at how tender the beef is in this stew. I've prepared it on the stove and in my slow cooker and it always comes out perfect. I've improvised when I don't have all the ingredients on hand and have used green beans instead of mushrooms and added cooked pasta the last few minutes before serving instead of potatoes. Yummy!
Very good start! This was the first time I made beef stew and everyone loved it. I did make a few changes, such as using red potatoes (because they're the only kind of potatoes I like), adding 1 red and 1 green bell peppers, using 2 cans of beef broth, and adding 1 beef bullion. I also added a lot of other spices such as thyme, romemary, red pepper flakes, and a bay leaf. Lastly, I added a package of brown gravy towards the end to thicken the sauce up, and served it with cheesy garlic french bread (butter, minced garlic, parmesan, romano, and parsley flakes).
This was a great cold night meal. I made it in my crock pot and I think it turned out just fine. My mother-in-law was very impressed!!
I normally don't like stew, but I have made this 4 times. I made and shared with my neighbors and both couples loved it.
I just found this recipe a couple of weeks ago and have already make it three times! It tastes great is easy to make and is great for those cold winter nights!!
My family loved this recipe. I am an amateur in the kitchen and it turned out great with very little effort on my part. I chose to use the crock pot. It cooked while I worked and throughout our evening sports practice so it was ready when we arrived home. The smell throughout the house was incredible, and the food was delicious. The silence at the dinner table made an amateur proud and there were no leftovers to put away. I guess I need a bigger Crock Pot :~)
My family loves this dish. My husband says it is his favorite. I have made it both in a crock pot and on the stove and strangely enough it tastes different. We definitely prefer it cooked in a pot on the stove. Thanks Kraft for this brilliant and easy recipe.
This recipe was excellent and will make it again. It had good flavor and my family enjoyed it!
