This tasted great, but I had some trouble too. The bread stuck (even with cooking spray) and I had to toast mine much longer than the recipe called for because it was still very mushy after cooking. I would also advise using the whole egg even with the extra calories.
I'm not sure what I did wrong but my sandwiches turned out terribly-I ended up throwing them out! When I went to turn them over, the bread ended up sticking to the baking sheet even though I had sprayed it. Maybe it would work better in a skillet.
This is a very easy-to-make recipe. I used white wheat bread, the whole egg and baked a minute longer for each side. It came out great. I will definitely make it again.
