I made this with out the bread for a good low carb meal. It was pretty good. Next time I will use a baking sheet with side though. The flat one I had dripped grease from the burgers all over the bottom of my oven.

I was quite excited when I found this recipe. We all love burgers especially patty melts but we were quite disappointed. I followed the recipe but when we dug in, the taste was very bland. We was not impressed. Other patty melts we've made have been superb but not this one. Not something I'll probably make again or if I do, add some flavor.

Excellent! Easy to make, moist and full of flavor. I do not do onions but I used American cheese for the kids and sharp cheddar for the adults. Yum!

This smelled great when it was cooking, especially the onions. I will need to cook them for a shorter time though, perhaps a total of 10 or 15 minutes, because the bread ended up being quite dark and hard. Otherwise, it was delicious.

Loved it ! I actually substituted the meat with ground turkey and added dried parsley flakes to the meat when cooking. It enhanced the already great flavor. Healthy and D-lisious. Best part cheap ingredients, and very quick to fix.

I made this and loved it. I used regular Miracle Whip and salad dressing. I finally found a patty melt that I like better than ones at restaurants. I think the miracle whip made the burgers cook up so much better than usual. Loved It!!!!

This was a simple mid week dinner! The whole family loved it! Only problem was that they got a bit too toasty! I'd only bake them for about 7 minutes next time!

I substituted Boca Burgers for the ground beef, thawed in the microwave first, and added some Miracle Whip on top of the burger before putting bread slices on.

We really enjoyed this, except the kids wouldn't eat the onions, lol. There really were a lot of onions for just 4 servings. I guess that is to fill you up feeling, but it was really good.
