This recipe needed some another seasoning besides pepper; the meat was bland, but after adding salt, it was fine. The veggies were very good and had a great flavor...I was just a bit dissappointed in the meat. I thought marinating overnight would give it more flavor; but it had no flavor. I will definately make again, but alter the seasoning with salt or Tony Chacheres when braising the meat. I also used frozen california blend veggies. My husband loved it (after I salted the meat).
