Smarter Fettuccine Alfredo recipe

Maybe you think Alfredo is too rich, or too complicated, for a weeknight. Think again. Our version is simple and so full of flavor, only you will know it's a smarter choice.

It made a lot, and had a great sauce. Though I also like it with a different noodle

Holy cow, this was so delicious! I was so happy to find an alfredo recipe that was more condusive to eating more healthy. Thanks, food&family!

Again...it was hit with my children!!! I love it when I find a receipe that the kids actually eat the dinner and ask for seconds!!! Thank you Kraft!

This was very tasty and our family liked it, even though we are used to the heavy cream & butter fettuccine. We are trying to eat healthier. I increased the liquid for a creamier texture. The chicken broth makes it really yummy.

So thick and creamy-you'd never know it was low fat! I'm not usually a big fan of alfredo but really enjoyed this recipe (it doesn't have the heavy parmesan flavor regular alfredo does). It could use a little bit more flavor; next time I might try adding a little cayenne in place of the nutmeg. Overall a great, filling dish.

My husband and two teenage boys really liked this recipe. I doubled it and used a whole block of cream cheese. It's not regular fettuccini alfredo, but then most of us can't afford to eat that anyway. It thickened up without any problem and everyone enjoyed it!!

I thought this recipe was amazing! For someone who is watching their fat, it's an incredibly wise choice. It's not as rich as the real thing, but still very delicious. I didn't change one thing about the recipe, and it was a hit at our dinner table. Everyone ate seconds!

Not the real thing, but not bad either. I used chive and onion cream cheese b/c that's what I had on hand. It gave it a little more flavor b/c I had read that others found this recipe bland. Overall, it fulfilled my craving for Alfredo and I don't feel as gulity eating it.

If you have had real Fettuccine Alfredo anytime in the last 6 months do not make this as you will be sadly disappointed. Better than most diet versions I have tried, but some things in life are just meant to be reduced fat.

try using fat free chicken gravy or fat free cream of chicken soup for a richer flavor
