Easy OREO Cheesecake

Everybody's two favorites- cheesecake and OREO Cookies are combined to make this fabulous cookie laced cheesecake a real WOW!

What You Need

OREO Cookies, divided

1/4

cup butter, melted

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup sugar

tsp. vanilla

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

eggs

Make It

HEAT oven to 325°F.

PLACE 28 cookies in resealable plastic bag. Flatten bag to remove excess air, then seal bag. Finely crush cookies by rolling a rolling pin across the bag. Place crumbs in bowl. Add butter; mix well. Press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.

BEAT cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add sour cream; mix well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each just until blended. Chop or crush remaining cookies. Gently stir 1-1/2 cups of the chopped cookies into batter. Pour over crust; sprinkle with remaining chopped cookies.

BAKE 1 hour 10 min. or until center is almost set. Run knife around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim. Refrigerate 4 hours.

I have been making this cake for almost 14 years - my family demands it at every function!! However, I do not add butter to the crust and I only add about 8 - 10 cookies to the batter. I like my own recipe better.

Yes, it was very good, however I would use a mixing machine vs. hand mixing. It burnt out the motor! So ladies use your kitchen aide mixer!

This is my son's all time favorite dessert. I made it for him last week while he was home on spring break. It made his week!! I have been making this cheesecake with the "lite" ingredients from the first time I made it. Everyone wants the recipe. Thanks!!

Amazing. No need to make a traditional cheesecake ever again. This tasted exactly as I had hoped - a perfect blend of chocolate and cream. Next time, I will cut down on the cream cheese, as it didn't all fit in my pan.
