Easy Bistro Chicken

Bistro, translated literally, means bar in French. Raise the bar in your kitchen with this chicken. Saucy and delicious, all in one skillet.

What You Need

tsp. oil

cups sliced fresh mushrooms

onion, chopped

can (14.5 oz.) stewed tomatoes, undrained

1/4

cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing

Tbsp. tomato paste

small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 lb.)

cup KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese

slices OSCAR MAYER Fully Cooked Bacon, chopped

Make It

HEAT oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and onions; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally. Stir in tomatoes, dressing and tomato paste.

ADD chicken; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 12 min. or until chicken is done (165°F).

TOP with cheese and bacon; simmer, uncovered, 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

Serve with hot cooked rice or orzo.

Note

This dish also tastes great when served as leftovers. Just reheat in the microwave before enjoying as part of your lunch or dinner the next day.

Substitute

Substitute 1/4 cup OSCAR MAYER Real Bacon Bits for the chopped bacon.

It was wonderful! Very easy! I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs in the recipe and they came out so tender.

This was very good. My husband loved it. I like anything with mushrooms, so I thought it was great.

Great recipe! I followed it exactly except left out oil and just sprayed some nonstick cooking spray. Worked just as well and saved some fat. It's even better after it sits 30mins or so as the sauce thickens. My husband and I loved this chicken and I will be making this again.

very yummy and easy too! the Italian dressing seemed out of place, so I skipped it. It came out really hearty, felt sinful but is actually pretty healthy so it's a go!
