Easy Bistro Chicken

Bistro, translated literally, means bar in French. Raise the bar in your kitchen with this chicken. Saucy and delicious, all in one skillet.

What You Need

tsp. oil

cups sliced fresh mushrooms

onion, chopped

can (14.5 oz.) stewed tomatoes, undrained

1/4

cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing

Tbsp. tomato paste

small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 lb.)

cup KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese

slices OSCAR MAYER Fully Cooked Bacon, chopped

Make It

HEAT oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and onions; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally. Stir in tomatoes, dressing and tomato paste.

ADD chicken; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 12 min. or until chicken is done (165°F).

TOP with cheese and bacon; simmer, uncovered, 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

Serve with hot cooked rice or orzo.

Note

This dish also tastes great when served as leftovers. Just reheat in the microwave before enjoying as part of your lunch or dinner the next day.

Substitute

Substitute 1/4 cup OSCAR MAYER Real Bacon Bits for the chopped bacon.

Lots of taste! Added a salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and italian spices. Next time we'll add pepperoni and use tomato sauce instead of stewed tomatoes (just don't like tomatoes.) Yumm.

Are you kidding me? My family (of 6) enjoyed this beyond belief. I had to double the portions because I insist on having enough for seconds if so desired. From my 2 year old to my 14 year old. Everyone was blown away - and it was so quick & easy. Thanks for the recipe !!

Very simple and quite delicious. I omitted the mushrooms because I don't like them, and substituted bacon bits for the bacon strips. Will definitely make again!

I really enjoyed this meal. It was delicious. I substituted with the Real Bacon Bits and it turned out great. I also added black olives...
