i added some sausage in place of half the cottage cheese. I also used half the spinach since my family isn't big on that vegetable.

i was bad and used my version with real ricotta cheese, but what a breeze to make this recipe has been! it's getting colder now, and some hot, cheesy, stuffed shells with thick, crusty garlic bread and crisp spinach leaf salad w/walnuts does the trick! :) GREAT RECIPE, will make again and again!!

My husband and I enjoyed this recipe. I though my husband would protest to the cottage cheese and spinach, but he said he would eat it again.

I have made this a few times now, once I added imitation crab & tiny shrimp, another time I added a seasoned ground meat blend, both ways turned out great. as there are only 2 of us I freeze the extras. When I pull them out I use a little more sauce to cover them & bake 45min-1hr.

Yummy! Made these last night. I didn't have the shells on hand so I used manacotti noodles instead. Was very simple and fast. Huge hit with the kids. Great served with garlic bread and a tossed salad.
