Cheesy Spinach and Artichoke Dip

What You Need

can (14 oz.) artichoke hearts, drained, finely chopped

pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained

3/4

cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

3/4

cup KRAFT Light Mayo Reduced Fat Mayonnaise

1/2

cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

1/2

tsp. garlic powder

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

COMBINE ingredients.

SPOON into 9-inch quiche dish or pie plate.

BAKE 20 min. or until heated through.

Substitute 1 env. (0.7 oz.) GOOD SEASONS Italian Salad Dressing Mix for the garlic powder.

This made-over version of the popular artichoke dip uses 3/4 cup KRAFT Light Mayo Reduced Fat Mayonnaise instead of regular KRAFT Real Mayo Mayonnaise, and a blend of Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses instead of the 2 cups mozzarella used in the original recipe. These simple tweaks save over 50 calories and 5.5 grams of fat per serving when compared to the traditional artichoke dip.

Try making it this way first and if you think it is a little bland then try cheddar or colby jack cheese. My husband thought it was really, really bland. I kind of felt the same way, but thought it was really good. Adding the cheddar added a wodnerful zip to the dip and it was great with just plain old Tostio's, or cheap knock off, whatever is cheaper LOL! I'm sure you have heard the saying "cheddar makes it better" That is pretty true.

This recipe has become my signature recipe!! I like to add a tsp of seasoning salt and cheddar cheese to it in addition to what the recipe calls for. Everyone loves it and is always requesting it. Oh and chopped tomatoes sprinkled on top is always a winner!!
