I always felt too intimidated to make asparagus even though I think I'm a good cook. I made this today and will make it until the season is over. This was fabulous, thanks!!!
I just finished making this after reading the reviews...and it was AWESOME!!! I followed the recipe exactly and it was amazing! This is the first time that I've atempted to cook asparagus at home because I was so intimidated by this veggie...but it was so good that this is also the first review that I've left too! Cook and enjoy folks!
I changed it to use what was available, ranch, a little hot sauce, lemon juice, onion. Cut up the asparagus into bite size pieces, tossed with parmesan and used 4 cheese cheeze its. My teenage daughter tasted ans said "wow, you made asparagus that doesn't taste bad!" She proceeded to have a bowlful for a snack. It's a keeper.
My children are not real crazy about asparagus but when we made this recipe all of us had not only one helping but asked for more! I thought it was just a fluke the first time so I made it again a couple weeks later and the same thing happened. All the veggies were eaten! Amazing!
This was so easy and a lovely presentation. I used French's French Fried Onion Rings as a topping in place of the Ritz crackers.
Made this on a whim for Easter dinner. I'm so glad I did. My family raved about it! Very yummy!! I used ranch instead of peppercorn, but it still came out great. This is a keeper!
We love asparagus but the combination of these toppings didn't work for us. Perhaps another dressing type (maybe balsamic or garlic herb)would have worked better? Simmering the asparagus for 2 minutes was perfect for cooking it just right prior to baking it in the oven. Great tip!
very good...was a hit at Thanksgiving last year.
I have made this several times for family gatherings and holidays - I am always asked to make this. I have also substitued the Ranch Dresseing for Classic Caeser and it is great also.
My whole family loves this recipe (even my husband and kids). So simple, so easy and so good.
