Clam Chowder recipe
I used clam juice instead of water the second time. It is great either way.

It was good but I had to add a lot of flour to get it to the thickness of chowder and it still wasn't all that thick. We ate it in bread bowls and liked it a lot.

I loved this recipe! I followed some of the suggestions and added flour to thicken it up. Made it with the clams for my mother and made again for me adding canned shrimp. She loved it and I loved it. Will definitely be making again soon.

I thought this turned out great. My husband said he would have liked more clams in it and I even used an extra can! But the taste was really good.

Very good - and easy! I made it for a Christmas lunch and everyone loved it. It does need pepper. It would be better if it were just a little thicker.

Very easy and very good. I recommend adding whole clams instead of chopped.

I used red potatoes and I liked them. I thicken the chowder with water mixed with flour.

The only thing I initially changed with this receipe was I used red skin potatoes. I thought the soup was too runny, but this is only because I like my clam chowder thick....Also, I could barely taste the clam aspect of the soup. It tased more like potato/onion soup, but was very good with some pepper added. I prob will make it again, but try to tweak it to make it more thick with ideas I saw on here....
