I used clam juice instead of water the second time. It is great either way.

It was delicious. The recipe is easy to follow and makes it simple for first trier like me. Definitely will make it again. BTW, the chowder is not as creamy as you would get from restaurants, don't know if it was because I used a different type of potatos.

This recipe was great and the whole family loved it. Most clam chowder soups you buy at the store that are half way healthy for you are runny and not very filling...this was chunky and very filling. Used 1/3 less fat cream cheese and it still tasted awesome!

Easy & simple. Made it for my Christmas Party. Was a hit! I added a little grated carrot. Simmered slow on the stove to thicken & put it in a crockpot on low.

I used chopped clams, because I accidently bought those instead of minced. They added a nice clammy flavor. It was a little thin, but we loved it.

Overall good, but did not taste like clam chowder -- not very clammy. I doubled the recipe for my family of 5, but next time I will use 4x the clams and cook the bacon first and then add it later -- will be less greasy and bason tasting that way.

Chowder was too thin, and did not have any clam taste. I will try adding clam juice instead of water. This was a nice blend of flavor.

I followed the directions and it was VERY GOOD. However, next time I will double the clams and use less water. I like my chowder a little thicker and I thought the "cream broth" was runnier than I want. But the flavor was excellent. Everyone loved it! We had it with raw carrots and celery as a side and nice crusty bread. An excellent meal for fall weather in Wisconsin.

My husband loved it! I made a couple changes by using chicken stock instead of water, half and half instead of milk and chopped clams instead of minced. I also doubled the bacon for a more smoky taste

The only issue I had with this was that it doesnt taste much like clam chowder. Its a delicious soup, but perhaps more clams should be put in to give it the flavor.
