Peanut Blossoms

A cookie tray isn't complete without these classic peanut butter treats. Make sure you try 'em warm while the chocolate is still soft.

What You Need

1/2

cup (1 stick) butter, softened

2/3

cup PLANTERS Creamy Peanut Butter

2/3

cup granulated sugar, divided

1/3

cup firmly packed light brown sugar

egg

Tbsp. milk

tsp. vanilla

1-1/2

cups flour

1/3

cup PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts, finely chopped

tsp. baking soda

1/2

tsp. salt

foil-wrapped milk chocolate pieces, unwrapped

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Beat butter, peanut butter, 1/3 cup of the granulated sugar and the brown sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat until well blended. Combine flour, peanuts, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended after each addition.

SHAPE dough into 48 balls, each about 1 inch in diameter; roll in remaining 1/3 cup granulated sugar. Place, 2 inches apart, on ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE 9 to 10 min. or until lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate piece into center of each cookie. (Cookie will crack slightly around edge.) Cool on baking sheets 1 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

These were my first attempt with these cookies and I was very pleased with the results. My son helped with the chocolate kisses. I eye balled the peanut butter and went a little heavy on it but it was worth the extra peanut butteriness. Yum!!

tasted good and went well with my coffee. The chocolate didnt stick well and I had a hard time keeping them intact.

Very tasty. Only thing was the cookies all fell apart when you picked them up. Maybe the temp of my dough was not right before baking?? Tasted good though. Will try again!

Made this recipe several times with the grandkids. They loved putting the chocolate stars on after the cookies came out of the oven. I used chocolate stars instead of the kisses in the picture.

Awesome! Fiance asked for batch for work, were gone...entire batch gone in minutes! So EZ to make, too. Saw identical recipe only using butter shortning..NO, must use real butter for their great taste! Also saw small peanut butter cups halved used, will try that, too. This recipe is going into lock-down!

We used Hanukkah gelt (chocolate coins) instead of kisses to make Hanukkah cookies! So YUM & holiday FUN!

great cookies! missing all the vanilla but added 1/2 tsp almond extract to fill the tsp called for. turned out really nice.

Mmmmm....peanut butter overload - so good! I used crunchy peanut butter in addition to the chopped up peanuts the recipe calls for, and they came out so good! Yummy with a cup of hot chocolate on a cold, rainy Chicago night!
