I made this cake for my daughters 5th birthday party. She loved it. I used homemade buttercreme frosting rather than the chocolate, because my daughter does not like chocolate. It looked great.

I made this cake for my son's Woody Roundup party. I used a Gluten free cake mix, but still got the same beautiful cake! My guest loved it!

This was fairly easy to make with the templates and my daughter was thrilled to have a horse cake!

Instead of making the frosting I used canned, but I think I may have messed up with the pattern, it just didn't look quite right. Tasted good though.

I also had a problem with the icing. But it worked out quite delicious. I spread a few coats of the runny icing on the cake and it soaked in and make the cake a gooey fudgy yummy, and then I put additional 10X sugar in the icing and refirgerated it until firm enough to ice the cake. I made a similar cake a few weeks earlier and the recipe for the icing called for WHIPPED CREAM instead of whipping cream. I used coolwhip and it thickened in about 5 minutes with no refridgeration. Maybe the recipe is a mis-print.

I made this for my twins 6th birthday and they loved it! I had to put the icing in the fridge for about an hour but overall it turned out great.

I could not get the diagram to print and the frosting was in my fridge for a few hours and was still very runny. I would not make this cake again.

I made this cake for my 10 year old grand-daughters birthday held out at the horse barn, with all of her fellow girl riders. The only problem I had with the recipe, was the icing. I couldn't get it to set up. I finally put the icing in the refrigerator for over an hour to get it thick enough to spread onto the cake. The pattern was excellent for cutting out the cake and overall the cake was delicious. I would just not use the same recipe for the icing. I think cool whip and the chocolate work better. The girls devoured the cake! There wasn't a crumb left! Now all her friends want me to make their next birthday cake too!

It was very cute and simple. It didn't taste any different from a normal cake. I served it for my one-year-old daughter's birthday party. It was a hit (even though the guests were adults!)
