I baked it instead of grilling and added mushrooms, green onions and sea salt. Not too bad.. might try again with some other additions but liked the syrup/mustard combo as a base.

I used this as a marinade and it was amazing. I let the salmon marinade for 3 hours before I put it on the grill. It had the sweet, which I like, and the spicy kick, which my husband likes. We enjoyed this with grilled greens and french onion soup.

Delicious! I actually marinated my salmon in the maple syrup mixture for about 30min. I also drizzled the excess on top before cooking. I broiled my salmon instead of grilling it...delicious! I served it w/ oven roasted asparagus, brown rice, and baked sweet potatoes.

It was much better than the salmon I recently had at a good restaurant. The sauce gave it a very unique taste. Loved It!

Added a squirt of freshly squeezed lemon juice and served with lemon wedges. This recipe is great for the skillet too. Not just for the grill. It's a favorite for everyone I've served it to, all want the recipe. Thanks!

My husband is real particular when it comes to his Salmon...but I have to say he RAVED about this recipe and trust me...that is TOTALLY UNUSUAL. The topping (sauce) was really good. Trust me, I am a picky eater also...you won't be disappointed!! Kudos!!!

This was the first time I ever made salmon and it was delicious!! I doubled the sauce and let sit for 1.5 - 2 hours. I read somewhere that salmon shouldn't be marinated more than 15 minutes, but it was GOOD marinated for that long! I will definitely cook in foil next time since it started to fall apart a little at the end of grilling. Definitely will make again SOON!

This sounds delicious but I am confused. Everyone is calling this a marinade but according to the instructions no marinading is being done. "Marination is the process of soaking foods in a seasoned liquid before cooking." No where in this recipe does it call for marinading the salmon so I'm curious as to how the fish can absorb all this flavor from the syrup mixture simply from brushing it on during grilling. And since some folks said they grilled their salmon wrapped in foil I would think it would have to have been marinaded ahead of time...or am I missing something? I will simply add that 1 Tbsp of oil to the syrup mixture, add the salmon and marinade the whole thing for a few hours. Did anyone else do it this way?
