I added cajun seasoning to the shrimp while cooking and served with steamed green beans. Easy and delicious.

We are southerners & we all felt like it was missing something. The shrimp was really good, but the grits were bland. Next time I'll try what other reviewers did and use chicken broth instead of water and add the cajun seasoning - hope it works bc it would be great to make this at home instead of having to go out to eat it.

Awesome recipe! I substituted 2 1/2 cups of chicken broth in place of the water and - wow! - amazing cheese grits! Also used old bay seasoning on the shrimp for some extra flavor...big hit with the family!

I made this for my parents and my husband last night and they can be some of the most critical guests to cook for!! Well after this was done they raved about it! It was perfect. The only thing I changed was to add more bacon and I mixed all ingredients once cooked into a 13x9 casserole and then baked in oven for 15 - 20 mins to get in good and hot. So delicious!!

This was fantastic. Even though I am a Charleston girl I have never eaten Shrimp and Grits until this recipe. It was fabulous and I will definitely be making it again!

This recipe is so delicious! I've made it four or five times over the last couple of years. I always add in a bit of red chili pepper flakes. My husband LOVES it- and he isn't a huge fan of seafood. I will absolutely make this again.

This was a hit with my 6 year old who loves shrimp. Tasted great and a no-brainer to make. For the adult eaters in my house I added some heat with cayenne pepper and paprika.
