The recipie sounded like a great idea, but I guess we are spoiled by cooking from scratch a lot. The filling was too sweet for us and artificial tasting. Strange but true, we love Cool Whip! but the conbination of Cool Whip and the instant pudding did not appeal to us. It did give me the idea to make a nice custard with real vanilla and lighten it with Cool Whip. I haven't had time to try that yet. Thanks

So simple and delicious! I made it in a trifle dish to make it easier to transport.

My family enjoyed this recipe. The next time I make it I will add 1 cup of milk to the pudding mixture, I thought it was a little to strong of a flavor with 1/2 cup of milk. I will make it again for sure.

I loved this! Tasted Strawberry shortcake before but never made it before. Only if I knew how easy it was! Only thing I didn't like was that it is so small. I could eat a whole one by myself. Family loved it. It was great. I will be making it again very soon. About to go out and get some more strawberries now... I would like to add more of the pudding and cool whip mixture though... Even after it sits in the frige for a while, as long as the strawberries are fresh... it tastes great. I actually think it tastes better...

I mashed my strawberries and added a bit of almond extract.
