This shortcake was very good! It definitely reminds me of 'old fashioned' strawberry shortcake. I just loved the biscuity flavor to the cake. I do agree with some of the other reviews though...One cake is impossible to slice in half so I had two.

My family loved this. I didn't make the cake part. I just bought an angel food cake. Just took a small shortcut. Loved the pudding in the cool whip.

It was good when it was warm, but it tasted like cold biscuits later.

I was a little worried about the lack of sweetness in the cake. However, when I complete the recipe and tasted it all together it was wonderful. I highly recommend this shortcake. This one went into my recipe book.

Not only an attractive dish but it tastes oh so heavenly!! I used Splenda instead of sugar to cut some calories as well as sugar free pudding & non fat milk and lowfat sour cream. Still tasted sinful! My guests loved it!

I don't know what happened to my cake, but it just wouldn't get done in the middle! I baked it for 20 minutes and let it cool completely and tried to cut it in half and my knife came out all gooey!! So I put the two halves in seperate cake pans and tried to finish cooking that way, but the damage was already done!! I finished the recipe, but may not bake the cake again....

I used a store bought angel food cake instead of the biscuit mix. I used this as my husband's birthday cake and everyone loved it, especially the pudding mixed with the whipped topping. Try it and love it.

This was delicious. I've made it twice now, and each time everyone requests the recipe. And so easy to make.
