Let the cheese come to room temperature before serving.
To simplify, spread softened cream cheese onto bottom of 9-inch pie plate instead of cutting it into pieces. Chop garlic, rosemary, thyme and lemon peel. Mix with dressing and 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper; spread over cream cheese. Serve as directed.
Appertizer can be stored in refrigerator up to 24 hours before serving.
