Bruschetta Minute Steaks

OK, so these take more than a minute to make, but they're so worth the (still short) wait. If you like steak—and bruschetta—you're going to love these.

What You Need

Tbsp. oil

thin boneless beef minute steaks (1-1/2 lb.), 1/4 inch thick

large tomatoes, chopped

yellow pepper, finely chopped

1/4

cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing

pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken, prepared as directed on package

cup KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese

Make It

HEAT oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add steaks; cook 1 min. on each side or until lightly browned on both sides. Meanwhile, combine tomatoes, peppers and dressing.

SPOON tomato mixture over steaks; top with stuffing and cheese. Cover.

SIMMER on medium-low heat 3 to 5 min. or until cheese is melted and steak is cooked to medium doneness (160°F).

Special Extra

Stir 1/3 cup chopped fresh basil into tomato mixture.

Substitute

Substitute 6 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves or 1/4-inch thick boneless pork chops (1-1/2 lb.) for the steaks. Increase cooking time to 4 min. on each side until meat is done.

I'm on the fence about this one. First of all, you MUST season your meat or this dish will be really bland. It is quick and easy, but I ended up with so much stuffing left over. Such a waste to throw away and I don't believe you can buy less stuffing in a box unless you make it yourself. If I did make this again, I would make it with twice the amount of steaks I made this time (five).

I would definately make this recipie again. However, I would cut the amount of stuffing in half as there seemed to be alot in relation to the amount of meat.

the minute seak was bland and it jst did not tast well at all. maybe flavor steaks more and tweek the recipe a little. though it was an inventive recipe.

Very yummy, I used diced tomatoes with basil and garlic instead of chopping my own as a time saver. So easy and fast, perfect for people without a lot of time. great recipe!
