This dessert is a wonderful crowd pleaser for any occassion...I always make it for Easter and many occassions throughout the year for family gatherings, etc and there is never any left after it is discovered!
Very good! Tons of raves! I used chocolate graham crackers for the crust and I added sliced strawberries and topped the cool whip with double chocolate sundae syrup and marachino cherries! I will definately make this again and again!
Very easy. Everyone asked for the recipe.
So delicious and so easy to prepare! I have made this cake on numerous occasions and for various events, and it is always a really big hit. I typically leave the extra bananas off the top and just tuck them in the layers. Works out just fine and delights every time.
I made this recipe for my daughter's birthday and she loved it. I replace the pineapple with fresh strawberries it was to die for.
I must have a very old copy of this recipe, because the problem I wanted to address is no longer present in the online version. My recipe says to line the dish with foil before putting down the crust, didn't say why, I figured to avoid sticking, well the foil stuck to the crust, ruined the first piece, but I managed to peel the foil off the bottom of what remained & it was a very good dessert, a bit sweet for my taste. I'll give the newer method a try & use Pam.
Everytime I make this, I am asked to make it again for the next soonest occasion. everyone wants the recipe.I do change it a little and add sliced strawberries (i've used both fresh & Frozen) on top of bananas. I dont put sliced bananas on the top since they brown so quick, I just add sliced almonds then drizzle both chocolate & caramel sauce in a nice pattern. adding that really makes it more banana split like.
This is a yummy recipe. If you like banana pudding and pineapple you will love this! I agree with a previous review that it gets better the second day. Both times I have made this the prep took me longer than stated but was overall easy and a favorite at our house!
Excellent! Easy to make, very tasty and my family loved it. This would be good to make for a crowd because of the size of the cake.
I LOVE this recipe! Best twist on banana pudding!! Everyone in my family loves and is always requesting!!
