I made this for our Thanksgiving dinner. I doubled the frosting recipe which was good. I am not a fan of ginger so I probably wouldn't put it in again next time but otherwise it was good.

The cake was very easy to make but the spice cake was too overpowering. I would have liked more of a pumpkin flavour as I was making it for Thanksgiving. I made this in lieu of the traditional pumpkin pie. It was a hit with my guests but left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.

All the women in my family LOVED this cake. However the guys were not to fond of it, but we didn't really care what they thought.

This cake was really moist, it tasted like a gingerbread cake. Would make it again.

I never thought I'd like pumpkin and chocolate together, but WOW, this is awesome. I made it for a group of friends and it was a big hit. You don't NEED the frosting either.

I'm a younger baker so I don't have a lot of ingredients nor do I want to buy one spice I won't use much. I made this receipe without the ginger and instead of using bakers choclate chopped, I used mini morsels. I just kind of eyeballed the measurement. But I really like it and will make it again.

This was good and enjoyed by all when I served it. However, I have other pumpkin cake recipes that I like better.
