What You Need

lb. extra-lean ground beef

pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken

1-1/2

cups water, divided

3/4

cup chopped onions

pkg. (8 oz.) fresh mushrooms, sliced

1/2

cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce

Make It

HEAT oven to 375ºF.

MIX meat, stuffing mix, 1-1/4 cups water and onions just until blended. Shape into 6 (1/2-inch-thick) oval patties. Place on rimmed baking sheet.

BAKE 25 min. or until done (160°F). Meanwhile, cook mushrooms in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat 5 min. or until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in barbecue sauce and remaining water; simmer on low heat 1 to 2 min. or until heated through.

SERVE meat patties topped with sauce.

We leave out the mushrooms husband dont like mushrooms and left out the bbq sauce and used brown gravy..Love it..will fix again..

Not really salisbury steak... more like meatloaf patties, but we love them. I read the reviews ahead of time and added a little BBQ sauce and less water to the meat mixture, as well as some garlic powder. One of our favorites!

Mine came out NOTHING like the picture here. I cooked it on a pan and it was so greasy. It was no where near done at the amount of time it said. I ended up putting it under the broiler and then in the microwave for a minute to get it done since everything else was getting cold while waiting for it to get done cooking all the way. It did taste good though even though it wasn't so pretty!

This is my go to salisbury steak recipe. I saute the mushrooms in butter with greek seasoning and minced garlic about 10 minutes before I add the barbecue sauce. REALLY GOOD!

This is a family favorite in our house. I didn't change the recipe at all. Yummy!
