My family loved this dish. I loved it because it was fast, used ingredients that I had on hand and it turned out just like the picture! I also used diced tomatoes instead of stewed. My middle son suggested that this would be good as a taco dish--you could substitute taco seasoning and black beans for the chili powder and kidney beans.

this was a very easy recipe to make but it needed a little spicing up. since I don't use salt I had to use garlic and onion powder, along with chili seasoning I will also use pinto beans the next time, because i think they will give them a better taste, also i will use rotel tomatos. my little grandson and husband both enjoyed it very much. I like it because I did not have to heat my kitchen up, I just added a salad to go with this and we had a meal for dinner. will make it again.

I've made this recipe several times now -- it's so good & easy to make. I substituted vegetarian crumbles for the beef, diced canned tomatoes in various flavors instead of stewed tomatoes, organic raw sharp cheddar instead of conventional, used various types of beans, added extra chili, extra cumin, a dash of cayenne pepper, & granulated garlic & it turns out dee-lish. The only Mac dish that I like better (so far) is the Italian Cheddar Bake, (but I've always had a thing for casseroles ;)

This is a very easy recipe to make. It came together quickly. For more spice in this dish, try adding some chopped jalapenos. YUM!

This recipe is ok. I used taco mix instead of the chili powder and cumin. I added onions to browned meat. I used leftover black beans I had in the fridge instead of the kidney beans. I threw in some leftover frozen corn and some sliced black olives also along with the stewed tomatos. I put in a 9x13 baking dish and topped with the 4 blend mexican cheese and baked till just heated through and cheese was melted. I think this would make a good potluck dish.
