I have made this several times. I even use different cheese blends. My 9 year old loves this and it's so easy to fix.

We LOVE this recipe! I brown the meat on the stove & bake the pie in the oven for about 10 minutes @ 350. I also just buy the Taco Bell soft taco kit--it has the seasoning packet, tortillas & salsa, which makes it a breeze!

I made this recipe 2 different ways; one basically following the directions (except I did not use the microwave method; I browned the meat on the stove then layered everything and put it in the microwave with damp paper towels covering for 2 minutes on high to melt the cheese; then continued with the salsa, lettuce tomato and sour cream); the 2nd version I made exactly like the first, except I omitted all veggies - my middle son only likes the meat and cheese. Everyone in the family really liked this and I would surely make it again. It was as simple as making tacos from a store-bought kit; and it was easier (and neater) eating at the table!

This was excellent! It's a great alternative to regular tacos. My husband said it's a keeper!

Instead of the wraps, I have also used crushed freeto's on the bottom and let each person put on their own toppings. annaskf
