This recipe was okay, it was really watery, when I think of potato soup, I think thick and hearty. It wasn't bad for something quick, but I don't think I will make it again.

we really enjoyed this. very simple to make and good on a cold weeknight. i used a whole lot more cheese than the recipe calls for, but we love cheese. i used leftover ham instead of bacon.

First soup recipe I have ever attempted. It was great! I added everything everyone commented on (salt, pepper and seasoning salt). Thanks to everyone for their help. Will make again!

I made this recipe again for the second time, I baked the potatoes in the oven and then put them on the stove top with the milk and chicken broth to let it get thick, it was even better. The leftovers the next day were amazing!

Husband loved it! Definitely better than out of a can!! I did add a lot of spices though. Lots of salt and pepper and some seasoning salt.

I had to substitute a couple of things like the milk for evaporated milk and bacon for real bacon bits and the baking potatoes for red potatoes (I had these on hand) but this was the best potato soup I have ever had. Easy to make too.

We added extra bacon and cooked on the stove instead of the microwave.
