This recipe was fantastic! I peeled the potatoes prior to cooking them, but that was my only modification. My two picky kids LOVED this soup. They argued over who would get the last of it. This will become a regular in our household.

I love Potato soup, so I was so excited to make this. Unfortunately, my husband and I thought it was horrible! The broth consistency of a soup like this needs to be creamy and thicker, not watery like this recipe. I would never make this again!

My family was "under the weather" so I decided to make this recipe. It was great. The only things I did different is I used eveporated milk and I left out the potato peal. I changed the milk becaused we were all in need of some "comfort" food! The peal just did not look inviting to me. The soup was WONDERFUL!! There was not one person in my family that did not enjoy it. As a mater of fact I have made it 4 times since then and have shared the recipe with 7 or 8 friends also. WONDERFUL!

This was delicious! I made it up ahead of time then put it in my crock pot to stay warm until supper time. Next time, I'll remove the potato peelings before mashing--my family didn't care for the peelings in the soup. My 18 year old son wasn't home to eat with us so he had leftovers the next day. His comment--"That soup--it was awesome!" I will definitely make it again.

I found it to take longer than the recipe said. I was worried alittle bit by what the potatoes looked like in the soup after the 6 minutes. It took an addtional 20 minutes and I was ok with that. You will know when the potatoes are done, when you use the masher. My whole family loved it and luckily I made a second batch and they at that all up too! I used reduced sodium chicken broth and fat free milk and it did not take away from the taste at all. It had lots of flavor.

I made this soup served in bread bowls with cheddar cheese and sour cream on time - yum yum! My 7 year old ate 2 bowlfuls.

This soup was delicious! I'm not a big potato soup fan, but it looked so good in the magazine. I found that the potatoes did not get done enough in the microwave. I had to simmer the soup on the stovetop for awhile to get them soft enough to begin mashing them. I agree with the other person who suggested mashing more of the potatoes. The thicker the better! I will make this aagin this fall/winter.

Soup was a little thin for my taste. Next time will eliminate some of the broth. But, was a lot easier than the potato soup I usually make that takes about 4 hours.

2 potatoes is not enough, broth too thin, its ok for a quickie but not to serve to family and friends on a special occasion.

My husband doesn't like Potato Soup, but this sounded good to me. Not only did he LOVE it, but he's asked me to put it on my regular menu for Fall favorites!
