EASY, FAST, DELICIOUS! Like other reviewers, I used what was on hand--microwavable bacon (super fast, no pan to clean up) and sauteed onions instead of green. I also added 3 TBS of cream cheese and some spices (garlic salt & powder, pepper, etc) to taste. Make sure you use a large enough microwavable bowl. My first 4c bowl overflowed and i had to transfer to a larger dish.

First time I tried a potatoe soup, since I had 10 lbs of russet potatoes I bought for 1.99 on sale, and was looking for recipes to use them. This was Amazing! I did bake the potatoes in the oven instead, and used the blender to blend, and left the skins on. This was YUM!..Absolutely will do again and again!

This was amazing..after reading reviews I decided to thickened my soup. I simply took a few of the cooked potatoes and the milk and out that into the blender and added to the soup.. thickened it up nicely! Almost makes me wish for cold weather!(I said ALMOST!)

We love it. I substituted sautaed diced onions and left over ham for convienience and cost. I also used extra potatoes. But my best tip is to let the kids choose thier own topping within reason. This way everyone participated and ate thier own creations.

This is a very vague recipe, doesn't seem like it would make much, but then again--it doesn't tell me!

I wasn't real thirlled with this recipe. It was a very thin soup & I was looking for something more hearty for a cool fall day.
