What You Need

lb. lean ground beef

onion, chopped

pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Taco Seasoning Mix

1/4

cup water

cups torn romaine lettuce (about 1 large head)

tomatoes, chopped

cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

cups tortilla chips, coarsely crushed

1/4

cup KRAFT Classic Ranch Dressing

It's for dipping and dunking and mixing-upping. And yes, for salad too.

Make It

BROWN meat with onions in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat; drain.

ADD seasoning mix and water; mix well. Bring to boil. Simmer on medium-low heat 3 min.

DIVIDE lettuce among 4 plates. Top evenly with meat mixture, tomatoes, cheese and crushed chips. Drizzle with dressing.

Very quick recipe for a busy night. I used a packet of HOT taco seasoning instead because we like spicy food. Turned out great.

Great Tasting! Easy to make. I didn't even use taco seasoning on the ground beef, just a little pepper and salt did the trick.

This was a big hit with the entire family! My favorite part was the way that all the ingredients were combined on the plate, rather than in a large serving dish (like other taco salads). This way, if there are leftovers, they don't get soggy! Yea!! The ranch dressing was a delicious change.

I made it but changed dressing from Ranch to Catalina, for a even better salad..
