It was OK... Took longer to bake than 40 minutes--maybe my chicken chunks were too large? A friend actually made this for us and it was kinda mushy. We threw out the leftovers.

I LOVE THIS RECIPE!!!!! Tonight was the first time I've ever made it and it was awesome. However I didn't have cheddar cheese so I had to use Colby still was good but I know would of been even better with cheddar! But as we were eating it we were dreaming up things to put in it like Velveeta. Even my daughter who's 3 ( my picky eater) Wanted the broccoli from it and loved it with the cheese and stuffing stuck to it!

I HAVE MADE THIS RECIPE FOR YEARS! WE LOVE IT! BECAUSE I LIKE TO EXPERIMENT, I HAVE ALSO MADE IT BY USING LIGHT SOUR CREAM INSTEAD OF MILK. ALSO I HAVE USED FROZEN CHOPPED SPINACH, SOMETIMES I'VE USED ASPARAGUS, FOR A VEGETABLE. MARTHA, NY

I've been making this for years with fresh broccoli, in *smaller* bite size flowerettes - it cooks just enough and adds a nice crunch. I've never added the milk or the cheese, although I think the cheese would be great.

We LOVE this! I pre cook my chicken AND the brocolli because I have a 16 month old who doesn't have a lot of teeth, I also use Healthy Request soup and 1/2 a small can of Cheez Wiz instead of the shredded cheese. Much less fat and calories, and not as salty.

Instead of using the chicken that has to be cooked, I used one large can of pulled chicken. I also added some frozen corn. My kids loved it, and by using the canned chicken, it was ready in 15 minutes instead of 40!

The recipe on the back of the Stove Top Chicken Stuffing box for Easy Bake Chicken is essentially the same but with much better.instructions. If the chicken is thawed (not frozen) and placed on the bottom of the casserole dish on top of some dry stuffing, it will definitely cook at 400 degrees in about 30 minutes. Mixing the chicken with the other ingredients slows down the cooking process.
